Evan Menogue: Trepidation

29th of March, 2008

One of my best friends since high school, Evan Menogue, has just quit his job of eight years and moved clear across the country for the love of a woman he hasn't even slept with yet. If she ever doubts his resolve, she need only think of that.

It had been a long time since we'd seen each other and this was our last opportunity to catch up before he left for Perth. I'm glad I was able to ask him some of life's serious questions, and that he was willing to explore them with me before this chapter of his life.

This was taken at Federation Square, just as we were parting company. I asked him to think of what awaited him and snapped this as he looked in the direction of where he was going. I can't be sure what he was thinking, but if it were my face, that would be trepidation written all over it.

Good luck Ev. I have no doubt you'll make the most of it.

I’m impressed.  I can’t seem to get guys to make me a cup of tea without sleeping with them.  What’s her secret?

I like what you’ve done with the picture too, the choked highlights make me think he’s looking at mushroom clouds in the distance.

That’s such a cool way to express that.  I definitely gritted it up a bit, and when I was playing with possible colour choices I quite liked the ‘choked’ hazy look with the pushed bright tones.

    Thanks for noticing.

Oh my gosh who is this HOT GUY?? Oh yeah it’s my boyfriend :)

Fantastic photos Mish, I’m sad that I never got to meet you (yet), but Evan’s spoken really highly of you. Things are going well here in Perth :) Come visit when you can!

    Sarah :)

    HAHA, high praise!

I wouldn’t be too eager if I were you… but rest assured there’s time yet, and I’m sure there will be opportunities.  I’ve already put a deposit on your wedding gift ;)

    *cough*

I sent your man an email before posting these, but I guess you guys have been flat out.  Please tell him to drop me a line and let me know how he’d like his high-resolution versions delivered :)

I’m glad you stopped by, thanks for your comment!
